I am a Collaborative Lawyer. My passion is helping families transition through separation with dignity. Through the journey of separation and divorce, I provide my clients with the support and attention they need to help them get to their goals and make sure their family is going to be okay. I support my clients each step of the way.
In the collaborative process I help guide you through a respectful and peaceful process towards a resolution. The process is focused and tailored for your unique family. My goal for the collaborative process is for your family to be able to move forward, to be okay, and to work towards the closure you need to be able to be at peace.
I have been working as a collaborative lawyer since completing my training in 2012. Since that time I have extensive experience assisting my clients in resolving their issues through the collaborative process. I have found that in my traditional litigation cases time is wasted with unproductive methods of communication between the lawyers which results in delay, misunderstanding, protracted and adversarial negotiations. Asking someone else to make the decision has left my clients feeling frustrated, powerless, and disappointed. Sitting down together allows everyone to work to find a resolution. Rather than becoming stuck in a position we focus on what is important to each client and in doing so find commonalities and options for solutions. In the collaborative process the team addresses each client as a whole and wraps around the family to address their emotional, financial, and legal needs.
